This epistle was written by Paul in 58 (or 60) A.D. at Corinth in the
home of Gaius (Rom. 16:23). Tertius wrote it for Paul (16:22). It was
sent by Phoebe, a servant of the church at Cenchrea (16:1-2; Acts 18:18).
Paul intended to visit the church at Rome (Rom. 1:10-15; 15:23-24,
28-29).
The Theme of this Epistle is:
"Justification by Faith"
Key Verses: Rom. 1:16-17. "The Just shall live by Faith"
Quoted from Hab. 2:4. This is Paul's text; the epistle of Romans is the
message, the sermon. It answers the question of Job 9:2, "But how
should man be just with (before) God?"
Key Phrase: "The Righteousness of God" (Rom. 1:17; 3:5, 21, 22, 25, 26;
10:3).

Works. Outworking of Christ.
